Media Creation Foundations 1 (Introduction)
This introductory seminar helps students develop the skills that define a characteristic IAMAS education: interdisciplinary academic knowledge and practical ability. The seminar begins with students individually facing their “present,” followed by communicating and sharing that with others. Through students engaging in dialogue with each other, and advice from professors, they will explore the direction of their research with an awareness of the work’s connection with society at-large. Further, whilst investigating and referencing past examples from various domains, students will grapple with the question of “How can our individual research and creative practices connect to the circumstances that surround us?” Through such a process the students will clarify the question of “What research and creative practice will I do at IAMAS?”
